Robert Saleh was fired on Tuesday, but the Jets’ head-coaching change was not the only major shake-up that was discussed. The status of offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett was set to change not long before Saleh’s dismissal.

And one of them stems from a report from CBS Sports that Saleh was “seriously contemplating firing” offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett on Tuesday before he was fired himself by owner Woody Johnson.

Just hours, or perhaps even minutes before getting fired, Robert Saleh reportedly made significant changes to the New York Jets' offense.
