The extended family of Erik and Lyle Menendez will advocate for the brothers' release from prison following the 1989 killings of their parents in Beverly Hills.

Relatives of Lyle and Erik Menendez on Wednesday pleaded for the release of the long-imprisoned brothers as US prosecutors review new evidence concerning the infamous 1989 murder of their parents.

Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were convicted for killing their parents, are having their case revisited in light of new evidence, prosecutors said.
