Milton is set to become the second hurricane to strike Florida in two weeks, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency is once again positioning supplies and personnel where they’re needed and coordinating with state and local officials.

Hurricane Milton, which is currently a Category 5 storm, is set to make landfall around Tampa, Florida, late Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning.

“Our Administration continues to surge resources to Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia to respond to Hurricane Helene’s impact,” the White House said in a statement posted to social media. “More than 7,400 federal personnel are still deployed, and we will not leave until the job is done.”
