MC5 finally gets long-awaited induction into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
After his death in 1991, and the deaths of guitarist Fred “Sonic” Smith in 1994 and bassist Michael Davis in 2012, it was Kramer who kept the MC5’s name alive in interviews and by fronting a revived version of the band. There came a point when his was the only voice people knew, as the leader of the MC5.
MC5 has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2024 class alongside several notable artists.
