Maruti Suzuki India Limited achieved an impressive milestone as its Manesar plant crossed the 1 crore cumulative production mark in just 18 years, making it the fastest among Suzuki's global automobile manufacturing facilities to reach the 1 crore production milestone.

Spread across 600 acres, the Manesar facility is one of Maruti Suzuki's largest manufacturing plants. It has an annual production capacity of around nine lakh vehicles. The company is also looking to set up a new facility at Kharkhoda in Sonipat district, which will be its largest yet, spanning 800 acres.

With this, the Manesar facility became the fastest among Suzuki’s global automobile manufacturing facilities, to reach the milestone in just 18 years. A unit of Brezza became the 1 crore unit to roll out of the Manesar plant. Spread over 600 acres, the Manesar facility began operations in October 2006.
