Fort Bend County Judge KP George’s attorney filed a motion Oct. 4 to dismiss the misrepresentation of identity charges brought upon him.

Fort Bend County Judge KP George has filed a motion to dismiss the misdemeanor charge that he was working to post fake racist social media posts to help him in his 2022 reelection.

Dozens of Fort Bend residents gathered outside the county courthouse to call for County Judge KP George's resignation ahead of commissioner's court Tuesday. George was indicted late last month after prosecutors say he worked with a staffer, Taral Patel, to run fake social media accounts they used to help their campaigns.

George was indicted by a grand jury on a Class A misdemeanor charge of misrepresenting the identity of a candidate.

A group of Republican demonstrators gathered outside the Fort Bend County Commissioners Court on Tuesday calling for the resignation of County Judge KP George.

The motion argues that prosecutors did not have the authority to indict George before the Texas Ethics Commission ruled on the case.

New search warrants linked to Fort Bend County Judge KP George have been released showing he was in front of Texas Rangers trying to cover his tracks.

Despite resignation shouts feet from his office, Fort Bend County Judge KP George said he's not going anywhere. On Tuesday, protestors gathered outside the courthouse ahead of the commissioners' court meeting.
