Former Sheffield United defender George Baldock has been found dead at his home in Athens, Greece, at the age of 31. Baldock joined Greek side Panathinaikos in the summer after six years at Sheffield United.

English soccer star George Baldock has died at the age of 31. According to the BBC, the athlete — who was born in the U.K. but also held Greek nationality — was found dead in a swimming pool at his home in Glyfada, Athens, on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
